Chronic illness

Checking In

Hi Everyone,

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve written a blog post. I think I have been suffering from a severe case of writer’s block. I feel like I don’t have anything profound enough to share. Maybe I am being too hard on myself. My ultimate goal with this is to write things that inspire people and help them feel less alone. Educating people and raising awareness are also very important too. But for some reason I’ve been coming up a little short lately. I do consider my Instagram a bit of a mini-blog, so if you are interested in following my thoughts and journey there, my account is @lindsayb489.

I am excited to share that I just got off the phone with a health news website for an interview about my chronic migraines. It is wonderful to have an opportunity to share my story and hopefully raise awareness about this complex, often debilitating condition. I think some people have misconceptions about who experiences migraine and what the disease actually entails, so it’s great to be part of something that may be clarifying for people. Sufferers of any chronic illness deserve compassion and understanding. Many don’t realize that those two things can make a massive difference in a person’s lived experience. Support is so crucial! I don’t know what I’d do without my network of support. My parents especially.

Anyway, I am plugging along with grad school and working on the Wellness Coach certification process on my good days. There is so much to fit in to those good days! What are all of you up to as of late?

Take care and enjoy this beautiful season!

Lindsay B.
